I specifically wanted to work with a female PT as I just found the thought of working with a male one a little intimidating. I have worked with male PTs too and enjoy my sessions with Camilla far more.  I’d spoken to  Camilla on a number of occasions and kept promising I wanted to work with her to do some weight/strength training, and eventually got around to it in January 2019 so I’ve been working with Camilla for over a year now. Prior to training with Camilla, I had only ever really done cardio, mainly running, but I was getting a bit fed up of it and wanted a change of direction. Camilla knew I was already fairly fit and when we initially met, she asked me what I wanted to achieve. My main goal then was to tone up but also to look at how strength training could improve my running.

Each session, we worked on different parts of the body, so Camilla has helped me to work on my chest, back, arms, legs etc specifically, but we have done some “all over body” sessions too. She wrote all of these programmes out for me so that I could workout on my own in between our sessions, and over time they have become committed to memory.

One huge thing for me is that Camilla knows I like to work hard and she pushes me to do that. She notices when I can lift more weight, and encourages me to do so, and I have genuinely achieved more than I thought I could. When I started training with her, I couldn’t even do a press up and now I can do several! Within just a few months of starting training with her, I was already noticing differences in tone and strength, and was becoming very lean. She helped and pushed me to achieve all of my goals.

I think it’s fair to say we got on really well straight away, and I now class her as a friend. I hugely recommend her as a personal trainer.
